Water on Piston#3

Hello........I have had my heads reworked and the overhead ran on my 84 Big Cam but I still keeping getting water on Cylinder # 3 What could be the problem?

Hello,

I am not sure what you mean when you say you are getting water on # 3 cylinder. If you are seeing a external coolant leak then it is probably a counter bore issue.

i would like to no what the differnce is between the accert and the bridge motor i ask a couple of shops and really never got any useful info thank you

To answer your question about the Cats....

A "Bridge engine" is the Caterpillar C15 single turbo (Serial number MBN... )
basically a "pre-emission" C15 single turbo with an emissions compliant 70 pin ECM and a few other parts changed

The Caterpillar A.C.E.R.T....(Advanced Combustion Emission Reduction Technology) is a Twin Turbo engine with a more advanced 120 Pin ECM and all the happy stuff that goes along with that.

The Bridge is a retrofitted "pre-emission" engine modified to be emissions compliant and the ACERT was designed from the ground up to be emissions compliant.
